West Africa Internet Governance Forum

a week ago, I was on my way back from West Africa, in Accra, Ghana to be precise.....form representing the five East Africa Countries (Kenya, Uganda,Tanzania,Burundi and Rwanda) in the forum.

I had an awesome time, apart from the time changes that gave me a very difficult time to adjust......the forum was a great success.

I have always had the passion for capacity building . I fostered the partnership between KICTAnet(http://www.kictanet.or.ke/) and Diplo....but unfortunately we have not been able to have a program ongoing yet......in West Africa, the forum offered me the platform to push this agenda......and I can almost say with certainty that it bore fruits.....

I have willing partners, FOSSFA and AfriNIC......so its just a matter of tying strings together....so I will hopefully be entering into new partnerships with Diplo to ensure that a program begins.

Currently, we are working on a discussion platform on where we can get people of the two regions disccusing their need for capacity building in IG issues.

I will be working on this with Godfred Ahuma and Emmanuel Edet.......I think this is a good manpower to begin...and anyone willing to join in...with discussions or want to be part youre most welcome.

if you would like to look at the presentation that I made in this event.....it can be found here;
