The day long discussions on the subject had brought up the following issues
1. Brazillian problem of Child abuse on Internet
2. Rights of women on Social / Political / Cultural and Economic overtones
3. Respect for Cultural Linguistic Diversity
There seems to be an unseen problem from the south american countries. Whereas on one stand they are talking of child porno / abuse and on the other about Google's presence and not sharing the riches earned in the country. The Chinese secretary general made it very simple about filtering /blocking if the commercial overtones of the issue is set aside. I feel that the stand taken by the Chineese stand to reason.
Jac-SM Kee of Malaysia was very good in conveying the requisites of Women and the need to respect 'womens sexual rights'.
The IGF has to indeed work a large extent for converging the diverse issues of Privacy and Cultural diversity,
Security - vis a vis the privacy at work, and transperancy versus the obigation of confidentiality.
