Revue Hebdo Gouvernance Internet : Audition sur transition IANA; le Japon sur Brexit & données personnelles; réunion G20 et politiques digitales; colloque UIT sur renforcement capacités TIC

RESUME

Cette semaine, la transition de l'IANA est à la UNE avec une audition au sénat américain programmé le semaine prochaine sur le thème "Protecting Internet Freedom: Implications of Ending U.S. Oversight of the Internet" au moment ou d'autres sénateurs républicains demandent à l'administration américaine de surseoir à la transition de l'IANA dont le contrat initial termine le 01 Octobre.

Sur la protection des données, le gouvernement japonais a exprimé ses préoccupations au Royaume-Uni et à l'Europe sur l'impact que le Brexit peut avoir sur le niveau actuel de protection des données et la libre circulation de l'information à travers les frontières.
En ce qui concerne les événements, nous notons la réunion du G20 à Hangzhou, en Chine, où plusieurs questions de politiques numériques ont été soulevées. En outre, a eu lieu cette semaine, ITU Global ICT Capacity Building Symposium on Embracing Capacity Building Opportunities in the Digital Era à Nairobi, au Kenya

SUMMARY

This week, Iana transition on headlines as Senator Ted Cruz on Wednesday scheduled a hearing next week entitled "Protecting Internet Freedom: Implications of Ending U.S. Oversight of the Internet" while on Thursday, a group of republican committee chairmen ask U.S administration to reconsider IANA transition which contract already scheduled to expire on October 1.

On data protection, the Japanese government has expressed concerns to the UK and Europe that Brexit may impact the current level of data protection and the free flow of information across borders.
As for event, we note G20 summit in Hangzhou, China, where several digital policy issues has been raised. Also, happened this week, the ITU Global ICT Capacity Building Symposium on Embracing Capacity Building Opportunities in the Digital Era in Nairobi, Kenya.
