Cette semaine, cybersécurité et géopolitique à la UNE des titres sur la gouvernance de l'Internet. En effet, L'Union Internationale des Télécommunications (UIT) a publié son deuxième indice mondial de la cybersécurité (GCI) révélant qu'environ 38 pour cent des pays ont une stratégie de cybersécurité publiée et 12 pour cent des gouvernements sont sur le processus d'en avoir une. De plus, la Commission mondiale sur la stabilité du cyberespace (GCSC) s'est réunie à Tallinn, et cherche à développer une définition de «l'infrastructure critique» afin de la protéger contre les cyber-attaques. En outre, le conseiller de sécurité nationale du président Donald Trump a annoncé un nouveau partenariat en matière de cybersécurité avec Israël. Le Cambodge a renvoyé 74 ressortissants chinois en Chine soupçonnés d'extorquer de l'argent à des gens sur Internet et par téléphone, a indiqué la police cambodgienne. De plus, le Forum des équipes d'intervention en cas d'incident et de sécurité (FIRST) a annoncé la publication de la version 1.0 des Principes directeurs et pratiques pour le document de divulgation multidimensionnelle de la vulnérabilité.
Sur le commerce électronique, les dirigeants des 20 principales économies mondiales discuteront de la fiscalité de l'économie numérique lors de leurs réunions à Hambourg vendredi et samedi, a déclaré le ministre allemand des Finances, Wolfgang Schaeuble, au diffuseur allemand ZDF jeudi. Le gouvernement de la Chine a créé une «Cour d'Internet» dédiée à Hangzhou pour se prononcer sur le nombre croissant de conflits de commerce électronique.
En matière de protection des données, le groupe de travail de l'article 29 de l'UE ("WP29") a publié de nouvelles directives sur le traitement des données.
Sur la neutralité du net, Facebook et Google se joignent à une manifestation en ligne de masse à l'appui des règles de neutralité du réseau.
En ce qui concerne les infrastructures, la Russie prévoit d'investir 200 milliards de roubles (environ 3,4 milliards de dollars américains) dans le développement de ses technologies de l'information cette année, a annoncé mercredi le président russe Vladimir Poutine.

This week, cybersecurity and geopolitics on Internet governance headlines, as the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) releasing its second Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI) said about 38 per cent of countries have a published cybersecurity strategy and an additional 12 per cent of governments are in the process of developing one.
