Full Name: Avri Doria
Nationality: US and Israel
Country of Residence: US
Organisation: Independent research consultant working on Internet architecture, protocols and governance
Stakeholder group: Civil Society & Internet Technical Community
Background (50 words):
I was a WSIS Civil Society participant, a WGIG member, a Coordinator of the IGC, a Chair of GNSO Council and the NCSG in ICANN, and a teacher for the Summer School for Internet Governance. I consulted for the IGF secretariat (2006-2010). I have been an Internet technologist since 1988.
Motivation and goals (50 words):
The IGF is caught between status-quo complacency and relevance. I believe it is losing its way in terms of multistakeholder participation. I believe it can still fulfill the promise of the Tunis Agenda, but its time is running out. I want to help it be relevant and think I can.
