Stay networked. Get informed. Broadcast your projects.

Hi everyone, I have started a new group: IGF 2013 Bali.... If you are interested in the event, please join us!

I will not be at the IGF 2013 in Bali, but I will follow it online. I am very active in planning, and expect to have an excellent engagement, even though my time zone will ensure virtual jet lag. Diplo will have several events, including WS 68 ( http://www.intgovforum.org/cms/wks2013/workshop_2013_accomplish_lis... ) a Diplo Flash Session, a Booth in the Village Square, as well as other panels.

I hope to see some/many of you online at our aggregator page (Vlada will tell us more about that soon) and in Skype virtual hub discussions.

Are you going to be in Bali? Tell us about your plans.

Are you going to attend online? Have you registered yet? Let us know your plans, and please join our Skype discussions during the IGF.

See you soon! Ginger

Just got my tickets yesterday morning. I will be departing tomorrow for a journey that will take almost three days to get to Bali. In between I will try to follow the main events online so that by the time I arrive I do have an idea about in which directions things are heading. I am very interested in the 'Capacity Building Track', so happy that I can join them on Day4 while I do regret that I will miss out on the Collaborative Leadership Exchange session. I do look forward to finally meeting my MAG colleagues and joining the orientation sessions starting on Oct. 24th.

Hi Farzaneh,

I'm interested in joining either the Ugandan or UK hub. What do I have to do next? Thanks.

Best

Dotun

This year the IGF finally has a "Capacity Building Track" - set of capacity building events.

If you will be at the IGF in Bali, join:

- pre-IGF "Collaborative Leadership Exchange" on 21 October gathering fellows and alumni of various capacity building programmes

Orientation sessions each day 22-25 October morning - 8.00-9.30am local time - being an opportunity for all participants to get tips on how IGF is organised and how best to benefit from it; learn and discuss about the origins, mandate and future of IGF and other processes (WSIS, Enhanced cooperation...); inquire with experts and exchange views on specific topics of interest in small groups (security, openness, privacy, access, diversity, critical Internet resources, IG4development, etc); plan further involvement in IG (IGF14, WSIS+10, ...) and be part of a short simulation on IG negotiations (Remote participation will be available for days 1 and 4)

- Capacity building roundtable on Day 4 morning gathering all the professionals and institutions involved with capacity building, to discuss how to sync global and regional efforts and how to improve the outreach of CB various programmes (Remote participation will be available)

See you there!
