SUMMARY

This week, IANA Stewardship transition dominates Internet Governance headlines with some communication battle as Sen. Ted Cruz and Donal J Trump express oppostion on transition while ICANN and most of community members inform on the real "nature of the IANA functions, ICANN, and the likely impact of the transition". Also, United Nations Broadband Commission for Sustainable Development releases The State of Broadband 2016 stating that China and India are now the largest internet markets in the world. Besides, on domain name, 7.9 million registrations were added to the Internet in the second quarter of 2016, taking the total number to about 334.6 million. On cybersecurity, Yahoo has confirmed the massive data breach which has affected 500 million accounts. Cette semaine, la transition de la supervision des fonstions IANA est à la UNE de l'actualité sur la gouvernance internet avec le sénateur Ted Cruz et Donal J Trump qui expriment leur opposition à la transition au moment ou l'ICANN et la plupart des membres de la communauté accentuent la communication sur  la «nature des fonctions de l'IANA, l'ICANN et l'impact probable de la transition". En outre, la Commission des Nations Unies sur le Développement Numérique publie le rapport 2016 sur la large bande affirmant que la Chine et l'Inde sont maintenant les plus grands marchés de l'internet dans le monde. Par ailleurs, conernant l'industrie des noms de domaine, 7,9 millions de nouveaux enregistrements ont été ajoutés à Internet au cours du deuxième trimestre 2016, portant le nombre total à environ 334,6 millions de noms de domaine. Sur la cybersécurité, Yahoo a confirmé la violation massive de données qui a affecté 500 millions de comptes. En ce qui concerne les événements, nous notons InterCommunity 2016 organisé par Internet Society Board of Trustees et le forum africain sur la protection des données personnelles à Ouagadougou, au Burkina Faso.
