OECD Ministerial Meeting: June 17, 2008

South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak attended the opening ceremony of the OECD Ministerial Meeting. Security was tight at the event. Also in attendance were OECD Secretary General Mr. Angel Gurria of Mexico and Korea Communications Commission Chief Mr. See Joong CHOI.

The Civil Society has recommended to the OECD, through a report read by Mr. Marc Rotenberg of EPIC last June 17, that an advisory committee be established in the OECD such as TUAC and BIAC for the technical and business stakeholders, respectively. OECD: June 16, 2008 Civil Society-Organized Labor Forum Impressions
