Check this: Your International Travel Record

I always seem to find interesting articles at 1:00 AM Philippine time. Just when I am about to shut down my laptop and go to bed - here I am speculating the enormity of how anyone's travel can be recorded by Homeland Security. The link below is the actual experience of the blogger requesting his travel records. I must be that ignorant and not realizing that airline companies do give out our travel information. Should we be alarmed? Did we somehow give our consent to the airline companies to… Continue

For Open consultation let us show the power of collaboration

hello All,

I think that In don't need to remind you about the next "hot" event (in IG context of course ;) ) . and I think also that as people from developing countries we all understand the need of remote participation channels.

in order to highlight this and show an effective need and make our request unavoidable, we, Diplo-mates, can do it by using social media channels. social media? a common word which encompass tools that you use or can use everyday with easyness : facebook,… Continue

Internet Rights and Principles Survey

Max Senges, Prof. Capurro and Dr. Nageborn have started an exploratory survey on values on the Internet (as a first step to have some data to develop a research proposal).

If Internet Rights and Principles are important to you, this is a good way to have some input and share ideas. The survey is short, so please take a moment to fill it out. Tx.

Where are the actions and results of the IGF?

One of the main questions this year is about the ¨concrete effects¨ of the IGF and if it is time that the IGF transmute words into action.

Want to know what these folks are doing at home as a result of their IGF fellowship?

If you are following the debates you have already heard the lingo - ¨action¨ and ¨results¨ may already sound like the chorus of the IG song (along with ¨bottom-up¨, ¨multistakeholder… Continue

Xenophobe Swiss SV Party propaganda. The white sheep kicking the black sheep out of the country

This is the propaganda used by the SV party, member of the Swiss government, against immigration. It´s very allusive the roles of the white sheep and the black sheep. The black is the murderer, that is being kicked out of the country by the white ones. This, per se, incites prejudice, violence, xenophobism.
