Videos from Tobago workshop - Simulation of Multistakeholder dialogue on Caribbean IG/ICT Forum

Last minute of the simulation on "Multistakeholder dialogue on the agenda of the Caribbean IG/ICT Forum" where representatives of civil society, government and business are trying to reach consensus (and, of course, fail to do so) in the last round of the time-pressured negotiations

----

A simulation of an interview of each of them by a journalist immediately after the negotiations ended (without an agreement)

Elevator Challenge!

The Caribbean should pursue a cohesive Small Island Developing State (SIDS) IG position collaboratively with our colleagues in the Pacific region. SIDS share several commonalities including inter alia: (1) colonial heritage (2) Weak ICT infrastructure (3) Environmental Challenges (4) economic challenges.

A unified IG position will bring strength in numbers, strength of purpose and a collective will.

There are many more similarities between the Caribbean and Pacific Islands positions on IG and ICT Policies and Strategies than there are with Latin America.

While the Caribbean can still (and should) participate multi-laterally with Latin America, the synergies that the SIDS possess can potentially strengthen and solidify the Caribbean position in LAC, and indeed the global space ... as it also may do for the Pacific region in Australasia.

A united SIDS force (52 countries, 48 million people) ... the possibilities are endless!

Hi All, looking forward to continuing the dialogue and watching the membership grow. I'm thinking of ways to promote it to our members.

Hello! Thanks for getting us started. Sheba, Vlada, I assume we can continue our discussions from the workshop in this space? I look forward to hearing more about what workshops you will prepare for the August LAC IGF.

Will our 'elevator challenges' work on a comment wall? I think so... short and sweet! Who is first?
