Internet Commenter Business Meeting

Are you tired of receiving annoying email, spammers, trolls and low quality comments on your blog? College Humor makes fun of the situation on the theme of "First to comment" that bloggers despise.

It is an interesting call to the idea of responsibility: instead of simply getting mad, why not learn to add email filters and educate your blog readers to be smarter?

I know some bloggers who have zero-tolerance to trolls and "First!" type of commenters: they either get deleted or are never approved.

What is your strategy to deal with such timewasters?
