SUMMARY
This week, plan for the U.S. to cede control of the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority to a global multi-stakeholder community likely to be delayed after US Senate Commerce Committee hearing on IANA transition with some senators pushing for two more years delay. Reagarding infrastructure, Microsoft and Facebook plan to build 4,100-mile private undersea cable between US and Europe. Cette semaine, l'actualité sur la gouvernance internet est dominée par l'audition de la transition IANA au sénat américain avec la probabilité du report du plan de transition soutenu par quelques sénateurs. En ce qui concerne les infrastructures, Microsoft et Facebook projette de construire un câble sous-marin privé entre Etats-Unis et l'Europe. Pour les événements, nous notons le conseil de l'UIT 2016, RIPE 72 à Copenhague et l'ouverture du bureau ICANN Afrique à Nairobi au Kenya.
