Uganda Holds 4th Internet Governance Forum

Dear Diplo members,

The Uganda online discussions will commence today. The discussions will build on what was discussed last year at the Uganda IGF and also feed into the Uganda Internet Governance forum to be held in early August. A date will be communicated on this list in the coming week.

Now, this year, we have identified a number of topics for discussion but we welcome emerging Internet Governance issues you feel that need immediate attention in Uganda.

So the agenda is as follows:

  • Day one, July 09: Online safety especially among vulnerable users i.e. children
  • Day two, July 10: Infrastructure:- IPv6
Day three, July 11: Net neutrality/Intermediary liabilities
  • Day four July 12: e-governance
  • Day five July 13: International Telecommunication regulations (ITRs)
  • Day six July 14: Closure and way forward
