The relevance of consultation and collaboration in E-participation

The golden rules of e-participation are “know your audience” and “make it possible, attractive and interesting for the users to participate.” The importance of understanding the needs, challenges and desired benefits of the audience as well as attracting and retaining them cannot be overemphasized.

Social, cultural, educational, religious and economic peculiarities of target audience of e-participation should be taken into consideration in its design and implementation in order to increase acceptance and effectiveness.

Audience of e-participation community requires timely, accurate, relevant, reliable and popular content. The accuracy of content, quality of content and quality of presentation should not be compromised.

There is correlation between the number of online users, advert, revenue, growth and sustainability.

Good points Rising - understanding the needs of an audience is fundamental to e-participation and something that is often taken for granted or, worse still, assumed.
