The Commonwealth at IGF09

This morning saw deep discussion of the the role of the Commonwealth in the Internet Governance Forum. The Commonwealth is a community of nations, with a shared language and history. As a community, delegates argued, there was a lot the Commonwealth could do to support the sharing of learning and practice between countries - whether about promoting ICT for development, or exchanging models for Internet related law.

The importance of ICT as a tool for challenging corruption was also explored - as you can see from the Twitter messages shown in the image on the right (click to view full size).
