The IGF MAG has agreed to introduce another step for preparing the programme of the annual meeting: prior to a call for proposals for workshops and sessions (likely to run in end February) to be organised at the IGF2014, a request for public inputs on topics that should be discussed at the IGF2014 has been launched: http://www.intgovforum.org/cms/
In practice, that means that everyone is invited to suggest the topics to be discussed at the IGF, with very brief background description/rational for the suggestion. The suggestions will then be summarised by the IGF Secretariat and MAG will try to cluster them and clarify the priority policy questions that IGF2014 should respond to. Once the call for IGF workshops is out, the proponents will be encouraged to address these priority policy questions; the main sessions will also try to respond to these identified priority questions.
In a nutshell: this is a chance to channel the IGF2014 discussions towards the topics of interest for all of us and our regions/stakeholders/...
Submit your suggestions (but try to be very brief):
"Request for public input: All stakeholders are encouraged to submit suggestions or ideas for issues to be discussed at the 2014 IGF to the following email address: IGF2014si@intgovforum.org. We kindly request that proposals are kept short and succinct. These proposals will be put into a synthesis paper that will act as an input into the discussions. The deadline for submission is 10 February 2014. "
