RÉSUMÉ

 

Cette semaine, les grandes entreprises Internet du monde assistent pour la première fois au sommet du G7, dans une tentative d'élaborer de nouvelles règles pour mettre fin à l'utilisation des médias sociaux par les cyber-exémistes. En outre, la Commission européenne cherche à donner à la police plus de moyens pour déchiffrer les messages privés dans le cadre d'une large campagne de répression des criminels.
Sur l'intelligence artificielle, "un robot nommé Sophia a été un panéliste à une réunion des Nations Unies mercredi pour démontrer comment l'intelligence artificielle pourrait aider l'Organisation à avancer plus rapidement dans le développement à travers le globe".
Sur la fiscalité; Le président français Emmanuel Macron a fait des progrès dans sa volonté de faire en sorte que les entreprises comme Amazon paient des impôts là où elles réalisent des bénéfices et non dans des paradis fiscaux.
Sur la cybersécurité, la Corée du Nord a fait les gros titres ces dernières semaines au moment ou la tension internationale s'accentue à propos des aspirations et les capacités nucléaires du pays. En outre, les chercheurs en sécurité Mathy Vanhoef et Frank Piessens ont détecté une vulnérabilité majeure dans le protocole WPA2 qui sécurise tous les réseaux Wi-Fi protégés.
En ce qui concerne les droits numériques, des dizaines de groupes de défense des droits civils ont appelé les décideurs de l'UE à abandonner les propositions de filtres proactifs obligatoires du droit d'auteur. Leur lettre ouverte, adressée au président de la Commission européenne, Jean-Claude Juncker, et ses collègues, prévient que le contrôle du trafic Internet des citoyens restreindrait les droits fondamentaux tout en allant à l'encontre de la directive sur le commerce électronique.
Sur l'économie numérique, le chiffre d'affaires du marché mondial des services de cloud public devrait augmenter de 18,5% en 2017 pour atteindre 260,2 milliards de dollars, contre 219,6 milliards de dollars en 2016, selon le dernier rapport de Gartner, Inc.

This week, the world’s major internet companies are attending a G7 summit for the first time, in an urgent attempt to draw up tough new rules to counter the dramatic rise in the use of social media by cyber exremism. Besides, the European commission is seeking to give police greater powers to decrypt private messages as part of a wider proposal to crackdown on criminals.
