RESUME

Cette semaine, l'Inde et les États-Unis ont signé un protocole d'accord (MoU) pour la coopération dans le domaine de la cybersécurité. En ce qui concerne la protection de la vie privée sur Internet, la Commission européenne propose une nouvelle législation visant à renforcer la confidentialité des communications électroniques. Sur l'accès à Internet, des contrôles en ligne sur l’accès des enfants à des sites pornographiques ont été définis comme une violation des droits de l'homme par un fonctionnaire des Nations Unies en réponse au gouvernement britannique qui a annoncé l'an dernier que tout site porno ne mettant pas en œuvre des vérifications de l'âge avant que les gens puissent voir le contenu explicite sera immédiatement bloqué. Sur la censure, le New York Times rapporte que la Russie a forcé Apple et Google à retirer l'application mobile LinkedIn de leurs marchés d'applications russes au moment ou l'application de journal aurait été effacée de l'App Store d'Apple en Chine. Aux États-Unis, le Département du commerce publie un livre vert décrivant les principes directeurs et les moyens de soutenir l'avancement de l'Internet des objets (IoT).

SUMMARY

 

This week, more news on 2016 Internet Governance review and outkook 2017. Furthemore, India and the USA have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the field of cyber security. On Internet privacy, The European Commission is proposing new legislation to ensure stronger privacy in electronic communications. On Internet access, online checks controlling whether children are accessing pornographic sites have been defined as a breach of human rights by a United Nations (UN) official as response to the British government wich announced last year that any porn site failing to implement age verification checks before people can view explicit content will be immediately blocked. On censorship, The New York Times reports that Russia has forced Apple and Google to remove the LinkedIn mobile app from their Russian application markets while the newspaper app has been reportedly wiped from Apple's App Store in China. In the US, the Department of Commerce issues a green paper outlining guiding principles and ways to support the advancement of the Internet of Things (IoT).
