RÉSUMÉ

 

Cette semaine, la cyberpolitique à la UNE de la gouvernance d'Internet. En effet «NSA a lié le gouvernement nord-coréen à la création du système de ristournes WannaCry qui a entraîné une incidence sur plus de 300 000 personnes dans près de 150 pays le mois dernier». En outre, la Chine a révélé les résultats des tests sur son nouveau satellite informatique quantique. "La technologie est censée fournir des canaux de communication secrète incassables, basés sur la mécanique quantique". De plus, le président russe Vladimir Poutine qui nie l'implication de la Russie au probable piratage de l'élection présidentielle américaine en 2016 affirme que l'administration Obama a ignoré sa proposition en 2015 sur un traité de cyber-guerre.
Sur l'économie numérique, une déclaration conjointe du Parlement européen, du Conseil de l'Union européenne (UE) et de la Commission européenne a déclaré mercredi que la fin des frais d'itinérance est à la base du marché unique numérique de l'UE et constitue une autre étape vers la construction d'une société numérique européenne unie et durable.
En ce qui concerne l'extrémisme cybernétique, la Premier ministre britannique Theresa May et la chancelière allemande Angela Merkel ont fait valoir que la réglementation sur Internet était la clé.
En ce qui concerne la liberté d'expression, le groupe de plaidoyer Human Rights Watch a déclaré que les autorités indiennes avaient imposé 20 arrêts internet en 2017.
Sur la neutralité du Net ; Netflix a renouvelé son engagement envers l'activisme de la neutralité au sein du net en rejoignant des douzaines d'autres sociétés d'Internet et des groupes d'intérêt public au moment ou se se préparent une journée d'action de neutralité du net le mois prochain.

SUMMARY

This week, more cyberpolitics on Internet governance headlines as, according to reports, "NSA has linked the North Korean government to the creation of the WannaCry ransomeware that resulted in affecting over 300,000 people in almost 150 countries last month". In addition, China has revealed test results on its new quantum computing satellite. "The technology is said to provide unbreakable secret communications channels, based on quantum mechanics".  Otherwise, Russian President Vladimir Putin who denies Russia alledged hacking of the 2016 US presidential election claims the Obama administration ignored his proposal in 2015 on cyber war treaty.

On digital economy, a joint statement by the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union (EU) and the European Commission on Wednesday said that the end of roaming charges is at the foundation of the EU’s Digital Single Market and is another step towards building a united and sustainable European digital society.

On cyber extremism, The UK Prime Minister Theresa May and the German chancellor Angela Merkel have both argued that internet regulation is key.

On freedom of expression, advocacy group Human Rights Watch said that Indian authorities have imposed 20 shutdowns in 2017.

On net neutrality; Netflix renewed its commitment to pro-net neutrality activism by joining dozens of other internet companies and public interest groups as they prepare for a net neutrality day of action next month.
