MAG renewal 2015 proces self-nomination Virginia (Ginger) Paque

Hello colleagues and friends,

I am happy to add my self-nomination for the 2015 MAG to those of the other Diplo colleagues who have already done so.

Family name: Paque

First name: Virginia (Ginger)

Gender: Female

Country of residence: Venezuela

Organisation: DiploFoundation

Stakeholder group: Civil Society

Background and/or experience in IG: I have been active in the WSIS process since PrepCom 3, as the Venezuela representative to the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) Task Force on WSIS, and in every IGF, starting with my first experience in Athens in 2006 as a Diplo fellow, upon finishing the IGCBP courses. I have attended some meetings in person, and others using remote participation, including a main session presentation 'in' (remotely) Sharm El Sheik, and a closing ceremony in representation of civil society, as Internet Governance Caucus (IGC) co-coordinator (in person).

Motivation and goals:  I have strong links to IG in Latin America and the Caribbean, from 38 years living in Venezuela, and with Africa through the IGCBP since 2006. I have worked closely with the IGC as a member and co-coordinator. This networking strengthens my resolve to make sure all voices from the wide range of civil society are heard, specifically increasing inclusion through multilingual content and platforms, capacity building, and remote participation.
