Istanbul IGF 2014 - Can YOU help please?

Last year in Bali the generosity and good will of the Diplo alumnae was really touching to see. In spite of the fact that none of us had funding from Diplo everyone rallied round to help.

This year I'm lucky enough to have funding to go to Istanbul, and I'm hoping that the same spirit will be there again among all of us who will be present in situ. This year my funding has specific tasks attached to it which will leave me with less free time. If you will be in Istanbul can you please spare a little of your time to help? Ideally there should always be someone at the Diplo booth to greet visitors, and to explain about the programmes. We have all benefitted from what Diplo had to offer; now it's our turn to share what we have learned with others. And you get to meet some really interesting people.

I'm not sure if New York duty free has mini toblerones (Saint Lucia duty free definitely doesn't) but I'll do my best to find something small and sweet to sustain the volunteers and encourage the visitors. Please indicate on the attached spreadsheet when you might be able to help. The times when we need help most urgently are coloured.

Looking forward to meeting you, again or for the first time.

Thank you Boniface, Carlton, Nadira and Anne-Marie. Monday and Tuesday are both pretty busy for me, but I should certainly be around for a turn on Wednesday and for parts of Thursday and Friday afternoon. Travel safely everyone, see you there.
