IGF Burundi is scheduled on September 1st to 2nd 2009, under the high patronage of the Ministry of Transport, Post and Telecommunications. It will take place at “The White Stone” building.
About one hundred participants have invited, coming from different institutions : Government, Senate, Parliament, CSOs, Youths, Religious organizations, Banks, Insurance Companies, Internet Service Providers, Telecom companies, Academic institutions, etc…
The selected themes to be considered are :
1. The Internet Governance processes : Why ? What has been done ? What next ?

3. Legal and regulatory aspects for Internet in general & What are the challenges and perspectives for Burundi ?
4. What are the opportunities Internet can offer to support the socio, political, cultural and economic development for Burundi ?

On my side, I have helped for the preparation of the forum but wan’t be able to attend because I will be travelling to Monterrey for UN GAID global forum 2009.
