Stay networked. Get informed. Broadcast your projects.
The Ninth IGF Annual Meeting takes place Tuesday 02 September to Friday 05 September, with exciting events taking place before, during and after the formal meeting. I assume you will be attending -- therefore, my question: have you registered yet, and are you planning properly to take best advantage of your time, either online or in situ?
This year's discussions should take IG to a new level of maturity, after the experience of NETmundial. Participation, engagement and dynamic discussion by all stakeholders is important. We must all do our part, even if it means facing virtual (or actual) jet lag as we re-arrange our schedules.
This year, an interactive schedule has been implemented, which allows participants to plan their attendance at sessions of special interest. You can also post your profile information, and consult the speaker and participant lists.
Of particular importance to me, is that remote hub registration is now open and initial remote participation information has already been posted. Watch for updates online.
Are you planning on attending online? Are you interested in joining a hub, or forming a virtual hub, with Skype or other platform discussions with your colleagues? Let's discuss our options here!
Here are some Diplo events to watch for. Please add your own events and recommendations in reply to this thread.
Friday, 5 September, 9.00 - 10.30 Workshop 124 Debates: Future IG Architecture (room 02)
Will you be organising or speaking at a workshop? Tell us about it! Do you want to get together online or in person? Let's do it!
I look forward to hearing more about your participation.
Warm wishes,
Ginger
