Yamout, Salam talked about Partnership for Lebanon, an organisation formed by Cisco Systems, Microsoft, Intel, Ghafari and Occidental Petroleum. This is a very good example of public-private partnerships (PPP).

The 5 key areas of the partnership are Connected Communities, Workforce Training, Job Creation/Private Sector Revival, ICT Infrastructure and Relief and Response.

Egypt also has an example of PPP in the area of capacity building. The Misistry of Communication and Information Technology has partnered with Cisco to set up Cisco Academies to train the youth in IT, through e-learning.
