This week, Indian Prime Minister inaugurated in New Delhi the 5th Global Conference on Cyber Space. The theme of the conference was 'Cyber for All: A Secure and Inclusive Cyberspace for Sustainable Development.' The conference was organised to promote the importance of inclusiveness and human rights in global cyber policy.

In Africa, the annual World Summit Information Society (WSIS) regional review of the implementation of WSIS outcomes was held in Addis Ababa. The theme of this year's regional review was : 'Transformation towards sustainable and resilient societies'

In China, The former head of internet regulator is under investigation for suspected corruption, the ruling Communist Party said

On net neutrality, Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai released a statement on his draft "Restoring Internet Freedom Order", circulated to Commissioners and will be voted on at the FCC's Open Meeting on December 14.

On surveillance, Facebook has promised to tell users whether they liked or followed a member of Russia’s notorious “troll army” who are accused of trying to influence elections in the United States and the United Kingdom.
On data protection, Businesses across Europe are unprepared for the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which comes into law in May 2018, according to new research conducted for RSM, the sixth largest audit, tax and consulting network, by the European Business Awards.
On security, Uber admitted Tuesday that hackers stole names, email addresses and mobile phone numbers of 57 million riders close to a year ago. It has also acknowledged that it paid US$100,000 to the thieves to have the data destroyed.

Cette semaine, le Premier ministre indien a ouvert à New Delhi la 5e Conférence mondiale sur le Cyberespace. Le thème de la conférence était «Internet ​​pour tous: un cyberespace sûr et inclusif pour le développement durable». La conférence a été organisée pour promouvoir l'importance de l'inclusion et des droits de l'homme dans la cyberpolitique mondiale.
En Afrique, la réunion régional annuelle sur la mise en œuvre du SMSI a eu lieu à Addis-Abeba. Le thème de la réunion de cette année était: «Accompagner le changement vers des sociétés durables et résilientes»
En Chine, l'ancien chef de la  régulation de l'Internet fait l'objet d'une enquête pour corruption présumée, a déclaré le Parti communiste au pouvoir.
Sur la neutralité du net, le président de la Commission Fédérale des Communications des Etats Unis, Ajit Pai, a publié une déclaration sur son projet de «Restoring Internet Freedom Order», distribué aux commissaires et qui sera voté lors de la réunion publique de la FCC le 14 décembre.
A propos de la surveillance, Facebook a promis de dire aux utilisateurs s'ils aimaient ou suivaient un membre de la tristement célèbre «armée des trolls», accusée d'essayer d'influencer les élections aux États-Unis et au Royaume-Uni.
Sur la protection des données, les entreprises européennes ne sont pas bien préparées au Règlement Européen sur la Protection des Données (GDPR), qui entrera en vigueur en mai 2018, selon une nouvelle étude menée par RSM, le sixième plus grand réseau d'audit, de fiscalité et de conseil Prix.
