Dear friends,
A warm welcome for Diplo alumni members to the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2017!
As IGF 2017 is approaching – and because it is taking place in Geneva, one of Diplo’s hometowns – you can expect us to be very active and visible during next week's events! Like every year, Diplo and its alumni will be powerful generators of Internet governance policy awareness and energy at the IGF.
Below is some information about our main activities, most of which can be followed through remote participation (register for the IGF online) or in person, if you are present in Geneva. More importantly, we invite you for a Diplo Alumni gathering on the spot!
1) Diplo Alumni gathering
Join us for a toast at 13.30 local time on Monday, 18 December at the cafeteria (first floor of building E) for mingling, updates on Diplo’s work and opportunities, and a photo op. Snacks and drinks included.
Let us know if you can join!
Before that, try to stop in at the Diplo/GIP booth for your DiploAlumni button while they last :)
After the gathering, join us for the opening of the Art@IGF exhibition and an optional guided tour, plus an opportunity to pick up your signed copy of Diplo’s “Introduction to Internet Governance” book.
2) Diplo activities during the IGF:
Join us in Geneva or remotely, and keep in touch at the Diplo Alumni closed Facebook page (Diplo Alumni can join here or e-mail Ginger at virginiap@diplomacy.edu).
Warm regards and e-see you soon,
Vlada
on behalf of the Diplo team
Comment
By the way is there anyone of you friends from the government of an LDC country that will be at the IGF in Geneva next week? There is an ITU open forum and they need a panelist... Let me know.
