Thanks to everyone who answered our call for participation in the Diplo community poll to support selection of a nominee for the 1Net Steering Committee. Self-nominees are much appreciated for their offer to serve. Discussions and participation in the  poll and selection process are also necessary and important components of the nomination process.

Results were calculated based on (see  Needed: Civil Society nominees for 1Net Steering Committee  and POLL NOW OPEN: Diplo Community Nomination for 1Net Steering Committ...):

40% - results of poll

10% - ability to communicate in an effective manner, maintaining a position, and listening to others.
10% - perceived commitment to the public interest
10% - understanding of global and regional IG issues
10% - awareness of civil society issues, especially human rights issues
