This may sound funny but its not! Africa needs more geeks. Technology makes this world go round and Africa should start playing a part in pushing the earth to rotate on its axis.
We need a culture of research right from primary schools. Most of our curricula are ridiculously outdated. When I was doing my computer science degree, our syllabus was like 15 years old. This does not auger well for our development. Sadly, a lot of our leaders in Africa are illiterate when it comes to technology. they do not appreciate the vital role in propping up economies that technology can play.
