Participating in the Advance Course on E-participation Class Chat

Getting ready for a wee hours class at 4:30 was not an easy option but to be ‘there’ with the ‘Global Team’ was both a challenge and motivation for me. Participants of the Diplo Foundation’s advance course on e-participation (IGCBP12 AdvEparticipation) came from different time zones and the tutor has to manage two sessions in different times to accommodate all.

What do social media and its communities actually mean to us? This should be one of the base questions when asking why we use social media in our daily lives.



Online communities are not taken as seriously as they should be taken. In our own real-life communities we tend to join due to the safety and security aspects that they are able to offer. [EuroDig Interview] Maja Rakovic, Serbia

Maja Rakovic is from Serbia and studied literature (BA, Faculty of Philology, Belgrade) and journalism (MA, University of Westminster, London, UK). She worked as a broadcast journalist for two Serbian televisions, Politika and B92; currently, working as a media adviser for the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, dealing mostly with media policy, media projects and international relations.
