- In which ways the capacity building provided by Diplo has helped you and your community in Internet governance issues? (Question only for IGCBP Alumni)
- Today I focus on the use of social media and communication strategies to leverage results for organizations. This is what I did for DiploFoundation with the creation of this Community at the Ning platform.
During the IGF 2009 in Sharm El Sheikh I have worked on the social media strategy, focusing on social networking (Facebook - www.facebook.com/intgovforum ), microblogging (Twitter - www.twitter.com/intgovforum ), photos (Flickr - http://www.flickr.com/groups/1062424@N22/ ) and video (YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/igf )

How to donate to Haiti in a safe and trusted online environment
Last week I was in the ICANN Studienkreis, when one of the panellists, from Verisign, provided a shocking number: on the UK alone there is around 680 million pound fraud a year on fake charity ngos, being 10% online fraud.
This makes me think about the current times in Haiti and the need for help. I feel disgusted and sick in my stomach by learning that fraudsters and scammers do not hesitate to take advantage of tragic events to make their schemes profitable.

- Dear Seiiti, thank you for the welcome. I´ve been only 3 years in the "Internet World" and I really need kind people in that technical World. I´m studying in order to get acquainted with all this. In my organization we are studying about the internet governance issues, and also I tried to go to Rio to weeks ago but unfortunately they didn´t give me financial help. I put the Diplo Fundation webpage into my Favorites and now that I´m part of that group it will be easier to be inside the news. I hope you see you soon.

- Seiiti, things are getting better. I have assumed new schedules at the Cabinet Secretariat of the Presidency, since May 2009. Its hectic here but am finding my space. Because of my new schedules, i hardly get to do IG stuff, am really missing that but..... trust you are ok. Keep me posted on issues.

I know that a small group of us have just entered into the Diplo community, and will be going through a learning process together. So it will probably be more useful for us to have our own group to help us get start. That and we wouldn't want to take over anyone else's group, would we! :)
