Survey on social networks, user generated content websites and data protection

If you are a UE citizen interested in privacy and data protection issues in the context of social networks and user generated content (UGC) websites and if you would like to make your contribution to influencing European policies on these issues, here’s a good opportunity to act: The European Commission is currently financing a project (CONSENT) seeking to examine consumers’ behaviour regarding online generated content…See More

Internet Governance Forum – 14-17 septembrie, Vilnius, Lituania

IGF 2010 - Day 4 - Taking stock session

Several questions were raised: Are the main themes of 2005 still relevant for Internet Governance? Are the new themes related to the evolution of Internet overlooked in IG debate? What are the changes happening from 2005 to now? Has IG globally advanced over the last five years?

IGF 2010 - Day 4 - #IGF10 #WS119

One interesting workshop I attended today dealt with the issue of core Internet values and the principles of Internet Governance across generations. The workshop addressed several basic questions: what makes the Internet what it is, what are values of Internet? Are these…

I started the last day of IGF 2010 with a workshop on principles of Internet Governance dimension of open knowledge environment in bridging the digital divide.

The main idea of the workshop was that the access to knowledge is a very importat issue for developing countries, as it could act as an accelerator of innovation and also contribute to the bridging of the digital divide.
