What are you currently doing today and projects you have related to Internet governance?
I am an invited teacher for Internet Governance and Domain Names at FAAP.
I am working in NIC.br, the executive support for the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee.
I have been following IGF and ICANN meetings (present or remotely).
I am also involved in some projects like IGF Remote Participation Working Group, IGF-Wikipedia, among others.
In which ways the capacity building provided by Diplo has helped you and your community in Internet governance issues? (Question only for IGCBP Alumni)
IGBP gave me a solid background in Internet Governance world and a broader view with multiple views.
It also introduce me to a great networking and the opportunity to find good people and join efforts with them in interesting iniatives.

IV Annual Symposium in Egypt - Call for Papers - Deadline: 30 June

Based on the successful experiences in Greece (2006), Brazil (2007) and India (2008), the IV Annual Giganet Sympoium will take place on November 14, 2009 - one day before the IV UN Internet Governance Forum, in Sharm-El Sheik, Egypt. We seek quality scholar's submissions to value our event.

The deadline for submitting abstracts is June 30.

Hola querida Raquel!
Estoy organizando mi viaje a Sharm el Sheikh para asistir al IGF, estaré llegando el 13/11, con el objeto de asistir al GIGANET Simposuim el 14/11. Lamentablemente no llegué a presentar un paper para este año, pero estoy iniciando un doctorado y mi tesis versará sobre Internet Governance, así que aunque no estoy presentando nada este año me interesa muchísimo asistir al Simposio y vincularme más estrechamente con GIGANET, explorando caminos de vinculación en relación con mi tesis y con las organizaciones en las que me desempeño.
Te pido entonces, en relación con esto, si puedes informarme cómo inscirbirme en el Simposio -no encontré cómo hacerlo-, y si puedes comentarme líneas de acción de GIGANET que yo pueda ir explorando para avanzar en la elaboración de ideas en torno a la investigación sobre Internet Governance, que podremos explorar cuando tengas disponibilidad para ello.
