Our second chat session dealt with a topic which I feel quite comfortable talking about because I've read quite a bit about it and have attended numerous workshops and conference on it: Social Media. The chat session focused primarily on using social media in a newspaper outlet and how it can be used to help with dwindling readership. - I am a journalist for Radio Thailand English Language Service and I teach English as well. I am also a PhD Candidate in Development Administration, so my research and studies have touched on internet governance. I've also participated in the Open Government workshop at the University of London last year.
- In which ways the capacity building provided by Diplo has helped you and your community in Internet governance issues? (Question only for IGCBP Alumni)
- It has really shown me a whole new world which I didn't realize existed! I am much more knowledgeable and understand the "issues" and "debates" about IG now, so when I read about it in the news, I know what they're talking about. I never paid much attention before. For my news report at Radio Thailand, I even did a segment on cloud computing!! I was so excited to learn about it that I wanted to share this with my listeners and invited an expert to give more information as well! So the IGCBP program has really changed my outlook on IG and the internet as a whole! I feel so luck to have been part of the group and for having been selected to participate in the program!

My First Chat Session with Sheba
My first chat session was very interesting and a very fruitful experience. I got a chance to meet my new classmates and to learn more about what participation is, not only e-partipation, but participation in general.
