IGCBP09 Research Phase

The IGCBP09 Research Phase started 5 weeks of Policy Research Methodology on September 1st with expert Garry Cronan, a communications, policy and advocacy consultant.

The 70 participants from 33 countries will then develop wikis in the thematic areas of:

- E-democracy,
- Development,
- Infrastructure,
- Intellectual Property Rights,
- Latin American and Caribbean IG, and
- Security and Safety.

As an innovation this year, the LAC group will write their research in Spanish.

The Research Phase concludes November 8th, and the best research projects will be published online, as well as highlighted in Poster Sessions at the IGF 2009 in Sharm El Sheikh.

Dear group members,
I wonder if there is anyone posessing any information about the pace of research and on the participants? From the introductory note we can learn that there are 70 of them, but what countries do they represent or investigate? And what are the topics for different countries?

I congratulate us all for having reached this far. From the introduction phase through the advanced phase, one feels we are ready and interested to take the staff for governments, policy researches head on. I am ready and I hope were all are. Thanks.
