One of the things I always do every time I finish reading a book, I go to www.amazon.com and then I search for that particular title. Then I rate it (1 to 5 stars) and mark ¨I own it¨.

This feeds my account database at Amazon.com and facilitates in getting recommendations for similar publications.

Even if I have never read a particular book, in case I'm doing research I may also use Amazon recommendations to get similar suggestions of titles for me to browse. It is easy and sometimes provides very interesting surprises

Seiiti's "One of the things I always do every time I finish reading a book"--provoked this response in me: One of the things I do before I START reading a book... is "I go to www.amazon.com and then I search for that particular title" :)

I find that the reviews and summaries help me decide whether it is worth the time and investment to read the book. Sometimes it is sufficient to read the reviews, and not necessary to even read the book. Other times I find that this or another recommended book ("people who bought this book also bought") are particularly valuable.
