So glad we have this list already in place. Who is arriving early/staying late, and what do they want to see around Hyderabad? I would like to see Charminar and Golconda Fort, what else? Pri and Rose can help us buy Saris!

I will come earlier around the 25 but will be busy with the team... who else arrives earlier?
I won't buy sari, but I already have curta which I bought last year :o)
As by default all will be there 1-7 December. I will not come earlier but will definitely stay some more days - Agra and Taj Mahal are mine this time. Besides, some other places - either south India or maybe even Nepal or so... Am keen on exploring and will decide upon some other ideas and good company!
I will be in Hyderabad early morning on the 1st if everything goes well :) very excited to meet all of you again.
Vlada, you have to share Agra and Taj Mahal. :)

Any idea how to get to Agra from Hyderabad?
I will be there early morning of the 1st....if all goes well...so probably we could do some scanting around later in the day and on the 2nd. Since it could be difficult to locate each other, why dont we say we all link up for breakfast,(1st morning)hopefully we will all be in the same hotel, and we can plan the day from there.
Most of us will be staying at Pagoda Suits. ISOC folks (Pri, Hanane...) will be staying else where. IISD folks on a third place. Initial meeting 1st morning for breakfast at Pagoda is fine (out of 50 rooms in Pagoda 40 are Diplo folks :o)
Then we might again gather 2nd morninig for the latecommers.

Dates. I will stay by 12th or 14th (still have to decide). Who else is staying longer? Kati and Marilia I think, but don't know about the others.
Few options in my mind:
a) North: Delhi, Agra/Taj Mahal, Kashmir
b) South: Kerala, Eliphant/Widlife Sanctuary, beaches and river-cruising
Though I would like to do both, we would not have time :o)

Comments?
I guess I have Sunday (Dec 7) to go for somewhere not far away... if others are on the same situation, one idea would be to have the group around Hyderabad neighborhood on Sunday.... please, please?
Hi

I do not have my itinerary yet, my travel dates are as follows: Depart to Hyderabad on Friday Nov. 28, 2008 to Dec. 14, 2008. I am taking vacations. I want to go to Agra before I arrived to Hyderabad (may be), then go to Nepal and Buthan (not sure about timing) Suggestions are welcome. What are every bodies plan?
pitty I won't be able to stay more days, I have to go back the same day the meeting finishes :( here is my phone 0035679847614. Please do leave your mobile so we can trace each other on the arrival. I am arriving at 8 am on the 1st and want to use the day for some sight seeing.. ...
good point, Hanane - Last year I ran to a shop and bought some prepaid sim cards and distributed around. They are very cheap these days, and you get as much as you pay for in phone credits...

... so one good idea to keep in touch is to have everyone unlock their home phones or bring a spare device and put a local sim card. It is really helpful.
Hello all! I am planning to stay until the 14th. I am still putting together a must-see list, but the Taj Mahal will definately be there! Other than that, I am open to suggestions and looking forward to explore things with you guys. I am very happy to see you again! Oh, and please count me in on the prepaid sim list!
Hi all. I will be arriving late December 1 in the evening. I have a a few hours of stopover in Bangkok so I will be in India evening. I hope to see some of you at least on the evening, if not, in the morning of the 2nd I guess. I am staying until the 8th - which leaves me the 7th and 8th to explore a bit about India. Anyhow, my plane on the 8th leaves at 11:55 PM.

Wouldn't it be great if some of us can plan to do some sightseeing on the 7th and 8th? I do want to see the Taj Mahal (if possible). I would like to try to squeeze in as much sightseeing I can in those two days I have. I am still deciding to visit Bangkok or not on my way back home.
