I would LOVE it if the Diplo people would get together in front of the main session camera at some published time--for a photo op--or something, so we can see you all!!!

Hello all !
As a new schedule has been given to my trip, I will be able to attend the IGF 09 via remote participation !

Another interesting info:

"Taking Stock and Looking Forward" plenary session – on the desirability of the continuation of the Forum, taking place on 18 November, 10:00 – 13:00 - allows for all the participants to provide contributions and intervene.

But - to do that, you need to apply asap via email:
"The discussions will be held on the basis of a pre-established speakers list. Interested participants can request a speaking slot by sending an email to igfstock@intgovforum.org with the heading “taking stock”."

So if you plan to intervene about the future of IGF - apply now.

Folks, Janna and "Imagining The Internet" team will be making interviews around the IGF Village during IGF. First ones that come to their booth will also get nice t-shirts :o)

The questions for the interview are:
- Should the IGF be continued, yes or no? (one-word answer, no waffling!)
- Briefly share your ONE primary reason it should/shouldn’t be continued. (20 seconds or less)
- What is your greatest hope for the future of the Internet?
- What is your greatest fear/concern for the future of the Internet?
- 20 years from now, when people talk about the Internet and policy “back at the turn of the century in the early 2000’s,” and they say “The people back then didn’t see this coming,” what issue or concept will they most likely be referring to – what do you think is going to surprise most people?
- Describe the future of the Internet in one word.

You can already respond to Janna via email (andersj at elon dot edu) but don't forget to also visit their booth at some point and do the interview as well!

It's sad I can't neither participate via remote participation !
This because I will be travelling ! But I will try to follow the event results after.

Funny question for this group: Who is NOT going to Sharm El Sheikh but will attend the IGF 2009 by remote participation? Please post to the IGF 2009 Remote Participation Group so we can organize a 4-day Skype conference--a kind of "virtual hub". See you there!
