Let's discuss the youth activities at the IGF in Sharm.

IGF Egypt is a perfect moment to strengthen the (inclusive and participative) role of youth in the IG process.
Thanx to the friends from the Egyptian MCIT (hosts), CPI and Net Aman group, European IKM project and DiploFoundation, we have initiated set of "informal" activities that should put the youth in the forefront of the IGF event.

Attached is the draft plan of jointly planned activities - such as:
- “Digital Diving” Project (“digital natives” & “digital immigrants”)
- Social Reporting base (tweeting, microblogging, blipping, wiking...)
- Public Debates (Oxford-type debates on cloud computing, network neutrality, downloads and copyrights, ICANN...)
- IGF-Youth Newsletter (daily coverage of the IGF event from the youth perspective)

Dear Vlada,
I think the intransigence of the Diplo wiki has given me carpal tunnel syndrome - however :-)
Several of my students are interested in the IGF and IG.
Some of them have joined this ning.
Please make them welcome.
I want to try to link to them from Egypt.
And on your "digital diving" - look for Ariel, vol34#1, January 03, several articles, particularly The Indigene and the Cybersurfer by J. Hillis Miller and Globalization, Indigenism and the Politics of Place by Arif Dirlik.
The Internet is a new way of doing an old thing.
Which is what my Giganet paper would have been about had I ever found time to revise it.
You owe me a beer :-)
