I have just joined this group. I am the founder  of Cameroon Internet Governance  Association (CAMIG). Main activities are child online protection and cyber security.  This is a good group for discussion on related topics.

I am glad to be a member of this group. We have recently held a Child Online Protection workshop in my country Vanuatu. I look forward to learning from all of you and to share our experiences too, as I am new to the topic.

Hello everyone;

I am glad to be a member of this group. I hope I will gain much in the field of child protection as my country, Burundi, also counts among those whose children are abused. Please do update me on how to make use of this as I am totally new.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Have a look at what FOSI (Family Online Safety Instituteis doing ? I participated at the 1st congress in 2007 in Washington. They have another congress in a few weeks (11 December).

Also have a look at what the EU project Safer Internet is doing in Europe. If required, I'm close to the responsible project manager at the EU.

Technological advances and availability come with new challenges. Ensuring that our young people and children are secured and protected is one of these challenges. Even UN Declarations, like a lot of treaties and agreements, are not protecting children from being exposed to child labor for example. What more could we do on this forum to ensure that children are safe and protected and even their basic human rights (CRC) are realized?
