Attending this Forum in person is a very exciting experience. It is clear that there is much to be done and that a necessary mind shift in the thinking of governments will be a slow process. Today we spoke in one group about the issue of Human Rights and internet and I felt that when this is discussed the only human right we see is the right to information. But there are many other rights, such as the right to education and to health. Another observation of mine was that when it comes to discussing capacity building and awareness creation, governments do not want to commit to any procedures nor admit their shortcomings. Another interesting issue brough to my attention by another participant from Trinidad, was what do we think about the fact that with internet access we can live in one country while working in another and receiving our salary in yet another country and in doing so avoid paying taxes in our country of residence. I had not given that much thought yet, but it is interesting.

Sorry missed a few presentations. Hoping to follow closer today. Last year in Guyana we had a cybersecurity forum and nothing since. we are waiting for others to help us. Maybe we need the help but we have to be more proactive. i'd like to see some unit/team set up to address this asap

The presentations by Art Ehuan, and Greg Richardson were scary to say the least.
They left me with the following questions:
1. What can we in the CAribbean do to protect ourselves ?
2. Do we have the resources to protect ourselves ?
3. Can we afford not to find the resources ?
