prepaid sim sounds good...it does help to ask who is around if we happen to get lost somehow

... so one good idea to keep in touch is to have everyone unlock their home phones or bring a spare device and put a local sim card. It is really helpful.

I hope to arrive on the 30th of November, in order to be coherent by the time meetings start (I am not good at such long travel). I hope to leave on the evening of the 9th. Charity, and anyone else I would be very interested in local sightseeing on the 1st, 7, 8 and 9. I suspect Agra (Taj Mahal) is a bit far for such a short time. But there are some interesting places to see in and near Hyderabad.

Ginger, we can all plan this when we get there. I wonder if we have something like a meeting on the 2nd? If not, we can utilize some sight-seeing if possible :). I'll be arriving in the evening of the 1st due to Bangkok stopover for few hours so the 1st of december is not a sightseeing day for me. I think the 7th, 8th sounds good to me...how about the rest? :)

Good idea Seiiti,prepaid sim cards...will work fine. As for me the only days I have for scanting is the 1st and 2nd....so you guys must help me make the best out of them :-) .I arrive on the 1st 3.25am and leave on the 7th 4.35am.

Hi friends. I arrived in 28 Nov. at 5:00 am to Hyderabad. Flight to Goa in Nov. 28 at 12:00 (noon). Return back to Hyderabad on Nov. 1 at 4 p.m (I would like to meet you at night?). Stay at Hyderabad until Nov. 7. (to stay with Seitti and the people who stay in Hyderabad). Flight to Agra on Nov. 8 early (to do the Golden Triangle ). Return back to Hyderabad on Nov 13 at night (Travel back to DC in Nov. 13 12:00 pm (midnight).

Friends:I Need to stay in a hotel for a few hours on Nov. 28. I really would love to leave my laptop in some secure hotel. If anyone arrive early, pls let me know. I am worry that my laptop could be lost in this trip.

I need a prepaid sim card too.

So one can hardly leave anything as a surprise, can he... :o)
We will arrange a group city-tour (bus; with short stop for registration at the venue) on 2nd, whole day. Chance for everyone to see Hyderabad and have a nice party-time all together ;o)

On my private plans, I will arrive on 1st early morning and stay by 14th. Kati I like your plans afterwards, I will probably join you fully - Agra/Taj Mahal, Delhi, Rajastan...
I see Marilia will probably join as well, and Mina (from Belgrade office) possibly.
All others welcomed as well! (if not further than to Taj Mahal on 8th at least).
Kati is there a direct flight from Hyderabad or only via Delhi? Do you have some details?

I am in contact with the local travel agents to check for different options. They told me it is the best time now to see Taj Mahal and Rajastan, rather then southern India. So be it :o)
Once I know more I will let you know.

I like the idea of Dec 2 city tour, Vlada! Dec.1 will be travel time to India for me. It will be a good bonding time for that Dec 2 city tour. I have the 7th and morning of 8th as free day after IGF since I have to leave for the evening of 8th to Bangkok, Thailand. I will be staying for 2 nights in Bangkok before coming home. See you guys soon!
