Event Description

ESCWA is collaborating with the League of Arab States (LAS) and the Lebanese Presidency Council of Ministers on the organization of the Conference and Public Consultations to Establish the Arab Internet Governance Forum (IGF) that will take place from 31 January to 1 February 2012, at the Habtoor Grand Hotel in Beirut, Lebanon.   The event is co-sponsored by the Reseaux IP Europeens (RIPE), and Kuwait Information Technology Society (KITS) and held in cooperation with Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group, the IGF Secretariat, and the Arab Working Group on Domain Names and Internet Issues (AWGDNII).

The convening of the Conference is in conjunction with and directly before the meeting of the Executive Bureau of ATICM, on 2 February 2012, and the 11th session of the Arab Telecom and Internet Forum (ATIF), during 2-3 February 2012.
